Default Y8 head mini me - couple questions/clarifications

I’ve spent the day combing through here and google, just trying to clear some things up. A lot of what i have been finding are just dead links, threads with missing pictures, or conflicting information.

So here is where I’m at. My ‘91 STD jumped timing, almost positive valves are bent, was going to sell it but cant seem to let it go, so time for a new head, might as well go for a mini me. I know i will need to convert to MPFI, planned on that anyway. Did my research, decided to go with a Y8 head so i can use my OBD0 dizzy, and because I went to a you pull it yesterday and stumbled across a mind looking del sol with a y8 that just arrived and still had most of itself together. I snagged the head and intake manifold. The fuel rail was gone, as was the throttle body.

So first couple questions (I’m sure I will have more):

does anyone out there still chip PM6 ECUs or modify them to run VTEC? I haven’t seen too much other than ebay sellers claiming they will modify your ECU, or will i have to convert to OBD1? If so, do they make jumpers or is there a way to use the non obd dizzy? That was a selling point on the Y8 head. Or i could just run a rpm or Vtec controller, but i would rather have an ECU controlled option. Basically looking for the least amount of wiring options, if its an OBD1 ECU, thats cool, if i can stick OBD0 thats cool too. Wiring and electronics are what gets me, so trying to minimize my risk of butchering something

for the fuel rail, will any D series one work, plan on going back to the yard soon to snag a few parts and could probably get a rail off of a Y8 cheap.

And kind of a stupid question, but if i were to throw the Y8 head onto my block, make whatever timing adjustments that i would need to (i know I will need to pick up an adjustable cam gear) will it run? My hatch has been sitting for a while, and wouldn’t mind gettting it on the road again. I know it wont run any better than it did originally but if its driveable, may just end up doing that for now while i source the rest of the parts that i need, and save some time on the install of the rest of the mini me parts
