00 civic jdm itr swap evap gas question help
i just swapped a jdm itr swap with jdm ecu.. it doesn’t look for a purge valve.. i still have all emissions canister and everything.. the stock motor had a purge valve going from the intake to the canister.. the new motor has a nipple on the throttle body so i put a hose going to that to the canister but now every time i get gas when i start it after it immeaditly dies and then starts the second time but struggles.. this only happens after i fill the tank.. .. what options do i have to set up the hoses to the canister?
The JDM B16a is a similar set up I believe, I have the same hose going to the throttle body but on the canister on mine there was another nipple with a thinner hose that ran to purge valve on the USDM motor, I capped the 2nd nipple that went to the purge valve, I do not have this issue.
yea i capped the throttle body off now it’s fine after i get gas.. must of been getting all the fumes and causing a rich condition.. i just have my canister open idk if that’s safe
