My 97 prelude came with a h22A4 I ended up outing a A1 in it

 

In europe preludes with h22 are more rare

A1 is little bit weaker engine than A4

 

Not sure where you are located Tcubs, but in the US... ALL '97-01 Preludes come with a H22A4, so it isn't rare at all. The H22A1 came in the '93-96 Prelude VTEC. I think that they were both rated at 195 HP... the A4 has a floating pin style connecting rod and the A1 has a pressed pin style connecting rod. Also, the A1 closed deck block is stronger than the A4 open deck block... so if you want to install rods and Mahle Gold series pistons, the A1 block can safely make more power.
