Hey everyone I just bought a 2000 civic coupe from the original owner who bought it new in 2001, I’m new to this forum and would like to start off by saying hello.
im going be using this thread to showcase my build from stock to wherever I go with it.
Ill tell you a little bit about myself as this is my first post after joining this forum,
im from Los Angeles and I work as a fabricator for a local hot rod restoration company in Ventura county.
I bought this car as my commuter and it’s the first car I’ve owned since 2011, since then I’ve been a daily motorcycle rider and I own 2 Honda cbr 1000rr.
I also own a 2016 Accord ex-l v6 and will eventually do a build with that. It’s my wife’s daily so I’m not in a hurry to do anything to it until I am done with my civic.
My main goal with the civic is to have a nice clean daily driver. I’ll be starting off with appearance mods such as wheels/tires, suspension, some ground effects, I would like a roof rack, I am also going to be doing a Sparco interior(steering wheel with quick release, driver and passenger seats) after I get all of that dialed in I may do a Bseries swap. I may change my mind and do a k-swap but I don’t know if I want to get to deep into that at least while it’s my daily. I have a goal to purchase an ‘18 sti by the end of the year so I have to keep that in mind when I am purchasing and upgrading parts.
I welcome any who may want to tag along for the build. I may build cars for a living but I don’t know everything and welcome advice and details that come from knowing the ins and outs of these cars

So far in the week I’ve owned it I removed the stock radio and installed just a basic pioneer stereo and a nice jl w3v3 subwoofer. Also I had the windows tinted.
The oem rubber steering wheel is wearing off and it so annoying so I’m going to install a Sparco steering wheel after debating between Momo and Sparco seats. I would like them to match, Sparco has their own quick release and Momo doesn’t. That was pretty much the deciding factor.
ive read about the amr kit in the suspension sticky and am open to them. The ktuned I’ve found on my own as well as the GC kit.
I like that the ktuned and the amr height adjustment is through the body of the damper.
whereas the ground control height adjustment is done by reducing preload on the spring, which will make me lose travel and force me to increase spring rate. but the ground control kit is made with Koni shocks and eibach springs.
anyone had or currently use these setups? If so what do you think?
Ooooooo this looks like a nice high end build in the making. Subbing, I can't comment on first hand experience, as these options are all out of my budget, but I would go AMR (from what I have read on here).

thanks for the love, I’m not in a rush with this build and won’t be cutting corners. I want to do it right and have a really nice finished product. I’m not to worried about resale value because I probably won’t sell.
So ill take the time needed to do the research and make informed decisions about what parts I choose to install.
I am going for a a nice flush wheel fitment with a slightly stretched tire.
I found a set of buddy club P1’s for sale that I think would look nice. The deal on them is really good
I am just unset on the sizing I want to run. The buddy clubs I was looking at are
16x7 +42 offset if I go with these I’d run a 195/40r16 tire
which Yokohama is the only tire available in that size.
just debating if I want to go 7”or 8” wheel
I’d kind like more of a dish than what the buddy clubs have.
Ill try to do install videos or pictures of the work I do.
Picture after the tint was done I did standard limo in the back three windows and sunroof and 30% in the front two door windows
after I replace the chipped front windshield I’ll do a ceramic transparent tint to help with the heat repelling
So I’ve decided on a wheel and tire package! 🤗
I’m gonna run the
Rota grid classics in 16x8 +20 offset
and a Yokohama s.drive 205/45r16
just need to decide whether I want bronze or white color wheels
out the door mounted and balance going to be about 1100$
on a side note I ordered the carbon pieces I wanted for my 2012 cbr1000rr
I’ll post a pic when I get it all mounted this weekend

the stretch will barely be noticeable

I bought this from some 65 year old woman who bought it new
came with all the service records and vehicle history.
Even the original dealer window sticker
that is why I am making it a point to do the most professional installs possible. I can’t stand hack job car builds. Do it right and do it once!

looking good. dont much care for the offset but super glad you got the white. I like the gold / bronze look, I just think it gets played out too much. The white and red, however, so sexy!
