I haven't been on here in a while but I haven't owned a honda in quite some time. But my brother grew up watching me working on them and well now he has one. We installed a obd0 B16 with B16 cable trans in his 2000 Civic DX. We used a Y8 harness and we are running it with a chipped p28. We're having a issue. It sounds like it's in limp mode but when we run it with the y7 ECU it accelerates great, other than the fact its nit reading the idle air control valve. We also tried a 2000 Civic SI ECU and it also goes into limp mode. Any ideas?

 

I forgot to mention we have a battery light on and no cel codes. The car won't shut off when I disconnect the ground so it acts like the alternator is good which is odd.
