Yes, they're just street tires.
Remember that being sticky for sideways force doesn't necessarily translate to being sticky for forward/backwards force (braking/acceleration). Each tire has its own oval-shaped friction pattern, and street tires, however sticky, aren't going to come near the shape of a drag radial or true slick.
That being said, their friction circle is gonna be much larger than your run-of-the-mill all season radial. They're no-nonsense tires. You will notice they'll be stickier, but that stickiness might translate to wheel hop instead of a smooth spin.

Thanks
They are marketed as semi slicks though aren't they? I know my boss has azenis which are just decent road tyres, but then there are the semi slick ones??? If I am still mistaken what would you reccomend?? I can't get the nittos here.

Don't worry, run them at 16-18 psi for drag and your set lol, i have them and they are great but i never got to use them much till it snowed here, my buddies used them for drag at the track and ran 16-17 psi and got wicked 60 fts....The reason you gotta run them so low is to avoid wheelhop, you gotta make the sidewall give in a bit....and also they stick like crazy at that low psi lol
