Icon5 H22 Low RPM Misfire When Warm

So, I have a 93 Civic EX with a 94 H22A swap. Running a stock P13 ECU, and a JDM internal coil distributor that was $50 on ebay, so that obviously could be the issue here.
It starts right up every time, idle surges when cold but fine when its warm. Drives fine but it feels really slow (when the motor is cold), and misfires and bucks hard below 3k rpms when warmed up.
After 3k it still pulls pretty slow but I noticed the other day it starts overheating after a 1st-3rd pull, would cool down in 4th but not at low rpm in 5th.
I thought it was my missing o2 sensor but we got that installed and it didn't fix anything. I have no CEL/codes except it threw an EGR code on the way home from my buddy's. I have no EGR in the car at all except the valve on the manifold with the vac line plugged.

I have tried another P13 ECU, no difference. O2 sensor plugged/unplugged, no difference. TPS is reading ~0.45-4.5V (haven't checked it when it warms up yet). I did recently change the timing belt but I just double checked it and it's in perfect time.
For some reason I couldn't get the distributor to advance past 13 degrees which leads me to think it's the distributor running too much retard, and if I retard the distributor enough, the engine dies.
I have a test pipe installed so it can't be a clogged cat.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, I've scoured threads on ht, preludepower etc etc and haven't found any exact answers.

Aftermarket distributors (coil and ignitors included) are know for issues in D-series motors...may be the same for H22?
Try a Honda genuine (oem).

I think that's going to be my next step along with doing a valve lash adjustment. Just hard to find one of the jdm style h22 distributors around here. I was going to order a wideband to see if it's leaning out due to clogged injectors but I doubt that's the case.

Replaced the ignition coil and it seems like the misfire is gone, I haven't driven it yet though. My tach is reading steady 800rpm even while revving, since replacing the coil.
