P1259 coming back after VTEC has been replaced
I bought a 2000 Honda Accord EX knowing it has a CEL code P1259.
First off, I replaced oil with 5w30 and waited to see if low oil or wrong oil was the issue. I filled up 6 quarts accidentally and drained out a quart or straight out of the bolt in oil pan, could this cause a problem?
This didn't fix the problem, so I replaced the entire OEM VTEC assembly and reset the code. It appeared to fix RPM issue at the time, but a couple days later the code comes back and the RPMs are bouncy when accelerating.
Just checked if any of the connectors were plugged into the wrong spot and they're not.
Any advice is appreciated.

Lifted it and checked out the oil pan. Everything appears to be dent-free. Any other ideas? The car stutters even more on acceleration and bounces around at idle more than before. The oil was changed in the last 1k miles, but like I said, I drained out an extra quart of oil via the drain plug. Hopefully this wouldn't cause any issues with the new VTEC solenoid assembly.
Also the maintenance light is blinking now, even after resetting it.

I had this very problem on my 2000 Honda Accord 2.3L. I changed the VVT solenoid after constantly getting a P1259 code and it improved for about 1 day then code came back. I removed the solenoid several times thinking it was leaking and causing the oil pressure to drop setting the code. It turns out there must have been sludge in the system and using synthetic oil wasn't helping so I decided to put motor flush into the crankcase and let idle for approximately 30 to 45 min. I then drained the oil completely and change the oil filter and put conventional 5w30 back into crankcase. To my surprise the P1259 hasn't come back. I hope if anyone else that's having this problem, that this solution helps.
