Default 2000 Honda Accord

I have a 2000 Honda Accord DX I swapped my motor an trans with a DOHC V-TECH but I just looked up the specs an it said my car comes with a SOHC. Now my question is does that matter...??

If you got it running then it doesn't matter.......

In saying that what DOHC VTEC engine did you install, H22A or H23A? Or posibly something else, B18C, F20B......... What you installed will make a difference. DOHC VTEC engines can use different injectors, the cams usually work better at different VTEC engagement points than the stock SOHC VTEC. So in short, Yes it will matter. Your ECU may not have the proper tuning for your engine. Unless you bought the engine and it came with the ECU and installed it as well.
