Ground Control Sleeves Dimensions 92-00 Civic
Hi! I would like to know the spring ID, free length and default spring rates for the 92-00 Civic Ground Control sleeves. From what I could get from the pictures and the part numbers it's 2.5" ID, 8" front and 7" rear free lengths for OEM style shocks. For rates, 325lb front and 245lb rear. Can someone confirm if that's all correct?
If you're getting GC sleeves, at least use decent shocks such as AGX KYB. If you look around, you can find a complete set for around $300, new.
its typically 350f/250r for civics but labelled in metric for the off the shelf rates, so it'll be like 180.64.61 or something. The conversion from Metric to English is (/.254, /.254, x5.7) "/" means "divide by", "x" means "multiply by".
why do you ask? by what pictures are you looking at?

Spring rates, lengths, sizing, etc depends quite a bit on what shocks you plan to use....and how you plan to use the car.
I wouldn't use 350/250 on a full body coilover, for example.

The shocks would be OEM replacement style, that's why I've referenced the GCs as they can be used with them. The car is street mainly street driven, with occasional track and strip runs. The rates I'll be using are the same or close to the DC2 ITR, 250 front and 225 or 250R on an EG6. The shocks would have the same damping and rebound specs as the EK9 CTR (just the rear is different from the DC2R).

Cool. As long as you keep the same ride height and bumpstop length, the whole system will be similar to an ITR/CTR.
I think the bumpstops are either used 100%, or close to 100% of the time the car is on the ground. So they're virtually always part of the overall rate.
That's how honda gets away with using such wet noodle soft springs.
