No everyone, was hoping yall could help. I have a 97 integra la. I am swapping a b20b into it, non vtec..I am just about done but there are 2 connections that I noticed are not on the b20b. One is right under the intake manifold, on the back of the block and the other is located under the crank pulley. If tall can help, I'd truly appreciate it..if needed, I can post picture of it as well
I'm assuming that you're swapping over the old wire harness to the new engine? Send a picture of the one on the back of the block. There's a few plugs back there and a picture would help. As for the crank pulley one, your original engine had a crank fluctuation sensor that the new JDM B20 does not have so that's why you have a plug on your harness with nothing to plug it into on the new engine. You have 2 options: 1. You can swap over the oil pump from the original engine onto the B20 and that would give you that sensor back. 2. You can keep the oil pump on the B20 and follow this guide here. I've personally done method 2 and it works great and is easy to do. The engine runs as it should. You just lose the diagnostic purposes of the CKF sensor. I would also recommend swapping your USDM intake manifold onto the B20 to help with emissions legality and proper sensor placement with your harness.
I did some research after this post and yes, I think I will do with option 2. However, i have a couple more. The sensor in the back of the block is the knock sensor, I will post picture soon, is there an issue is I don't plug anything to that?..also i read around that a p75 ecu doesn't look for a crank senor, is that true? Because I have an extra p75 ecu
Under the intake manifold is the knock sensor. Which LS Integras don't have so you can just leave it disconnected or remove it.
As for the CKF sensor. Just bypass it. Not needed either unless you want to swap oil pump housings.
Google your model year and ckf bypass, you'll find lots of info out there.
What year is your car/ECU OBD1 doesnt use the CKF sensor but OBD2 does. If you're OBD1 than just ignore the whole bypass trick I linked to you. P75 ECU just means that it's for a non-vtec integra. It can still be either obd1/2. As for your picture and the plug on the back, that's a knock sensor (someone correct me if I'm wrong). That means that you don't have a B20b...What's the stamp say on the front of the block?
It's a 97 integra.
I have another question, so I know yall said that I need to switch the intake manifold because I'm using the original harness, is there a way I can just keep on the b20b intake? I hear it's better than the b18 intake. However, I did notice that there is one connection at the top that the b20b doenst have, is there a way to bypass that or am I forced to use the b18 intake?
Yea keep the B18 manifold for sure. And that thing you circled is the evap/purge control solenoid valve. It controls the when to burn off the fuel vapor that's stored in the charcoal canister. It's an emissions thing you'll need if the car's going to be emissions tested. So your car's a 97, meaning it's OBD2. So your P75 ecu does look for the ckf sensor so you'll need to do the bypass trick that I linked. I still don't know what the brown sensor is on the back of the engine that you took a picture of but I think that's a knock sensor and that doesn't make sense though because the B20's didn't come with a knock sensor. Other than that, do you have any other questions? Do you need any pictures or vacuum hose diagrams and stuff like that?
hey guy I just wondering how much boost can stock gsr head with dual valve spring can handle, with b20b bottom which I probably build them please help me this is my first build
Thank You

It's more about how much horsepower is being made than boost PSI numbers. On stock B20b sleeves, the rule of thumb is only 300 whp because of the thin cylinder walls. If you plan on going over that than you have to sleeve it. Anyway, turbo B-series have been discussed across forums and online for decades so learning to search honda-tech, all of the other forums and google is your best tool.
