Timing Issues
Hey guys!
I'm having timing issues with my 1996 honda accord lx with the 2.2L Non-Vtec engine and Obd2. I recently did the timing belt job on my car doing the front balance shaft seal, camshaft seal, water pump, tensioners and timing and balance shaft belts. Recently, using a basic, non adjustable timing light, I have been finding that my timing has been off about 15 degrees behind on the crankshaft pulley, I have tried adjusting the timing, and triple checking that my camshaft and crankshaft are lined up in TDC and the timing light continues to show that the timing has been off. I've concluded then that it may be the ignition timing that may be off but I have found nothing in order to fix that. Also I'll include that I followed TouringAccords tutorial to the teeth, and the timing continues to be off.
If any of you guys have any thoughts, tips, or questions, please let me know. Any input is much appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Beg/Borrow/Steal another timing light and recheck.
Since the timing light has no adjustment, and the crank pulley only has the marks for TDC(white) and base timing(red), how do you know the timing is 15° ATDC?
Are you sure the inductive pickup is installed correctly on the spark plug wire? If you have the pickup on backwards it will show the incorrect timing.

Inductive pickup should have an arrow indicating which way it should be. Usually 'PLUG ==>' will be on the pickup to show which way it should be facing.
I would try another timing light to confirm, a decent whack can damage them.
How does the engine run? Is it lazy? Or does it seem to run fine?
Are you sure the outer ring of the pulley has not slipped?
