I had my lower ball joint on the driver side shear and it ripped out the half shaft, breaking the spider joint inside so i had to replace the whole cv joint. I ordered a brand new one from napa that should have fit my car but when i received it, the shaft was noticeably wider than the stock joint i took out. the spline count was right but it was just beefier and could not fit back into the car. When i look online, i cant find a left cv joint that looks like mine, mine has the splines running all the way down to the boot like the right side shafts look but the ones for sale only have the splines running down half the way to the boot. Not sure this makes a difference or not but i would like to know if the part im buying will for sure fit or not. Also why the new shaft would not fit. i even took the retaining clip off to see if i could just get it in but it cant fit, i can see its far too wide. I could get the old one in without its clip just fine. Hoping someone can help me out. TIA
