2000 Civic Sedan LX broken wires in passenger door jambs
In diagnosing the lock/unlock issue for my passenger side door(s), I found 3 wires completely broken and 1 wire with broken insulation.
1. WHT/RED (door lock actuator)
2. YEL/RED (door lock actuator)
3. YEL/RED (mirror)
The other wire goes to the window switch. Is there a repair harness for this? Or do I have to pop the pins and solder the wires to them?
Re: 2000 Civic Sedan LX broken wires in passenger door jambs
there is no after market deal for that.
unless you remove dash and junk to get to the other side of that harness and replace it with a junkyard harness.
easier to repin it..........but ...sounds like you had a lack of slack and it pulled tight? I would fix that first

Thank you. No lack of slack. The door hinge is a flex point, and these just broke after years of opening and closing.

Junkyard was my only option. Grab extra length. Color match, soldered. Fixed. This way the wires wont stretch like original.
Thankfully mine was only a few wires. Looking at wires in places like that makes me ill. I appreciate your advice. I’m attempting to fix mine in an unconventional way as the nearest salvage yard is about an hour away and has one Civic there...
