Default Servicing brakes..new questions added...

Honda is telling me that my 99 Civic SI needs its brakes serviced ?

So does anybody know what is involved in servicing my front brakes?

I dont really feel like payin $125 CDN to service my brakes?

I am going to try to do this on my own..so I need to know step by step what to do to service my front brakes?

Okay I changed my pads and rotors a while back but here are new questions:

Lubing the ends of the backing and Inspect and lube caliper pins.

What does it mean when they say backing?? Backing of the pads is what assume it is..

Caliper pins, just remove them and lube them correct?

Last thing is that the Lube can be bought at honda correct?

Thanks everyone for there replies and help...

we change the brake pads and clean up the brake dust off everything and check the brake system....or we r supposed to do that.....and only turn rotors if they need to b turned.......its a lot cheaper to do it your self
