Default B20b high comp with gsr head, safest way to turbo.

I have a b20b high compression motor from HMO with the original GSR vtec head, I'm not looking to do crazy amounts of boost especially because I know with high comp motors it's not the smartest, would we even say it would be safe and possible?

sir............how bout some detail. what is "high" to you?
11.1? could easily do 15lbs if tuned correctly by a competent user.
12.1 must use higher octane. e85. 93+
13.1....race fuel or aint care and tune it.

belive it or not. some super high end boosted motors go way up in cr. 14.1...15...16 ..17

OP is basically saying that he has a b20z block and b18c1 head. AKA a static compression ratio of 10.23:1....
On this build I would say if tuning is done well, all components are healthy and ideally sized, you should be okay at 250-300whp.
At over 300whp, you start running into reliability concerns with those b20 sleeves....

Exactly this. Your B20 was only called high compression when you bought it to compare it against the other B20 import motors. Since there are three different stock compressions for B20s, they call them Low, Mid, and High compression engines. You don't really have a "high compression" engine.
