Default before i swap questions...

i am strongly considering the b18c (~180hp, gs-r integra)

what is the difference between the b18 off the 93-96 and 97-01 integras? they are both b18c and share the same specs according to http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/engines/b18c_93.html
any differences?

also.. would anyone reccoment a difference engine? perhaps a b16 something? i dont see why a 1.6 would be better than a 1.8, but who knows.

finally, i want to keep it around $3000, but what about a mini me.. its something like d16a6 block and a 97 d16y8...?

difference would probably mileage...the older the engine/car the more miles would be on it...also its somewhat illegal to place an OLDER engine in ur car..like a 94 GSR in a 95 civic etc...ya..the swaps on Osaka...dont come with axles and shift linkage...so u would have to go out and buy those..making the swap more costly

the difference is obd1 obd2.. if you have an obd1 u want to stick with obd1 makes the swap a lot easier and if you have obd2 do the same..

with the b18c-r from osakajdmmotors, they do provide the shift linkage and axles. which makes it the greatest deal at $4200.

here is the convo:

suprAddict: hello
osakamotors: how can i help you
suprAddict: on the type r motor, does it come with axles?
suprAddict: im swapping the b18c itr in an 92-95 hatchback
osakamotors: yes axles and shiftlinkage
suprAddict: only on the type r though right?
osakamotors: correct
