Wiring up fog lights on 96-98 civic with 99-00 front end conversion
Ok guys I just did a 99-00 front end conversion on my 97 hx coupe. I also bought fog lights to fit the 99-00 front bumper and installed them. So I grabbed the wire harness and watched a video on how to wire up the lights and realized the 99-00 civic has some fog light wires that my civic don't. Theres a wire with a brown connector on it but my car doesn't have it and of course the lights I bought has the harness that plugs into that wire. My question is how can i wire these lights up in my 97 hx. The wire with the brown connector looks like its for power to the fogs and there is a ground wire also on the harness which I know what to do with that. I'm pretty sure some of you guys have done this already and I really need the help because I really want these lights to work.
Is this the oem kit? or oem style/cheap wannabe oem kit?
They all come with a wiring diagram or tell you what you need to connect the fog lights. they should be able to provide some sort of support.

I grabbed the cheap eBay ones. They didn't come with any instructions lol. I had to watch a video on YouTube to cut out slot to mount the fogs. It was a full install video showing how to wire up the fogs but it was for a 99-00 civic. I also watched one for a 96-98 civic but the harness was different. I was hoping someone who has done the 99-00 front end conversion also installed the fogs successfully. But I'm gonna find the wiring diagram for the car and might try another wiring harness

This is the harness that comes from the fogs to the brown connector thats on the 99-00 civic
Yep you have it....all 96-'00 civics have the wires.
If you look near the washer fluid tank, you'll see some tape & wires that are folded in on themselves...cut off the tape & uncoil it, you should see your brown connector. Same thing up and "behind" the fuse panel under the driver's kick panel.
