b16 swap popping/running poorly
I swapped an obd1 b16a into an obd2a 97 civic coupe. I wired in the knock sensor, alternator, dizzy, vtec, injectors, and iacv. Its throwing a code now which i cant read, running poorly, and is popping alot when i give it gas or try to start it. Anyone experience this problem before? not quite sure on how to approach this. thanks
What ECU are you running? Conversion harness?
Why can't you pull the code? I'm assuming when you say the engine is "popping" you mean it's backfiring, which would make me think there's a problem with the distributor, plugs, and/or the wiring.

Could be distributor, but it could also be bad gas.
Used to own an em1, replaced the b16 with a b20b high compression, drove it around and it kept popping, couldn't figure out why, said **** it, kept driving it until 2 or 3 gas tank fills.
