Acura Integra Type R K swap
Hey guys, new to Honda Tech and the whole forums thing. I've been a Honda Fan all my life and currently drive a 2007 AP2 GPW Honda S2000. I recently came across the opportunity to trade my S2000 for a 2000 Phenoix Yellow ITR. The ITR is K24 swapped.

My S2000 is farely stock with a VIS mugen rep hardtop and BC coilovers. It's White with factory Red and Black interior, Clean title with 111k miles. Would you guys think this is a fare trade?
I have a few questions though. Being a California resident, how would I go about BAR'd? I know I would need to swap the fuel system, new ecu, harness, intake, cat etc. Is getting it BAR'd a necessity? What would happen if I didn't get BAR'd? How would I go about insurance being it's a motor swap and its not BAR'd? Would I just not tell them its swapped and get a dirty smog? What would happen if i got caught with an Illegal motor swap? Should I be worried about the suspension damage and salvage title? I spoke to the owner and he said he overhauled the suspension and installed new shocks too. What should I look for? What advice can you guys give? Thanks. -Kevin

No, not a fair trade at all. Salvage title, heavily modified, I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole.
If you really want an ITR, sell your S2000 and buy a clean higher mileage one.
