95 Civic Intermittent Temp reading
I already replaced the ECT due to some idling issues but my Temp needle now is staying like 1/4 of the way even when the car gets hot and I hear the fan kick on. When I turn A/C on however the needle will move higher. Im thinking the Temp Switch next to the ECT is faulty but just not sure why with A/C on the needle is moving more normally
How well did you purge the system of air?
Usually the air pocket will move around so the temp gauge should fluctuate often, so consistent 1/4 level would cause me to suspect the gauge temp sensor (1 wire sensor on engine head). Gauge Temp sensor is separate of the two wire ECT sensor also on the engine head.
