Hello. Im in a desperate situation to keep my 96 civic ej6 DX on the road. Failed smog in CA because my NO at 15mph was too high but everything else checked out. Thought I would buy a new magnaflow cat/header (product number 452029). Verified that it is correct for my car and that it is in my engine family. Put new cat on drove around for an hour before taking it to resmog and failed everything by huge margins. My car is now a gross polluter. How did this happen? how does a brand new cat make everything worse than it was by large amounts. Im just want help to pass smog and get another 2 years of driving it because the car runs great.
