Testing Transmission Codes
D4 light Just started flashing after a couple days since it last did, when i turn the car off and turn it back on it stops flashing so I cant test the codes, but when it flashes I cant test it because Im not home or have a paper clip to do so, Any help?. I just installed the H23 transmission in my accord last week with the H23 tcu also
You can't test or you didn't test?
Unless the memory fuse is blown the code should still be stored in the ECU/TCU.
If no codes are being stored or showing up, put the F22 TCU back in the car.

That would be the NC sensor, located on the right side cover of the transmission there are two magnetic pickups. These two pickups are used to monitor the Counter(NC) and Main(NM) shaft speeds of the transmission for correct upshifting. If the electrical connections are not clean and tight it will trigger the code. Also if the sensors themselves are not within range 400-600Ω then they will need to be replaced. If the sensors are coated in ferrous material(usually black slurry coating) from infrequent fluid changes the sensors will not read the tone wheels and set the code. If one if gunked up the other is probably as well.
