Default key stuck in ignition - 2003 civic LX manual transmission

Honda civic 2003 LX manual transmission

the key was original that came with the car, it had similar problems before, but today it got stuck in ignition, can't take out; AND it won't start the car either! so i'm totoally stuck now.

Before towing it to dealer, is there any way to get the key out??? i've tried for a couple of hours now, tried WD-40, and it won't come out

can wiggle it slightly, but it just won't get out. HELP please!

Which position is it stuck in? I'm sure you've tried this, but I have to ask: have you tried moving the key between positions in the ignition while applying pressure to the steering wheel?

local locksmith help me with the lock cylinder and got both keys working, cost $23; also tried dealer, they charge me $800 for replacing the whole thing, and told me there's no other way to fix it. dealer said no locksmith could help this problem
