Default Integra engine headache

I'm new to Honda tech and any advice would be great I just bought a dc1 Integra. The engine is blown I need new one . Now the problem is it's not standard engine they normally come with a zc engine this one the block is a d14z2 the head is a d16z6 and the intake is off a d15b the loom I was told is a zc loom and ecu is original (I was told? The head that's on the car has vtec because there is a solenoid for it but the loom doesn't have harness for it and it is not connected . Now that's the most info I no on the car and my main question is I want to keep the car non vtec and just put an engine in that is plug and play and no messing with wires is needed because I am no good with wires . So what engine will work with it . Some have said only prefacelift civic d series engines will work some say they won't work atall . I'm stuck . What engine do I buy ???????

Default Re: Integra engine headake

If it's a dc1 then a single cam or even a dual cam zc would work, . A D16a6 or a D15b7 would also work since your car is non-tec.I see no reason why a D16Y7 or Y8 would not work either. IF you have a z6 head then you will need a D series distributor other than the z6(Z6 is unique) that matches the plugs on your harness.
