Hi, not exactly a mechanic, infact I never even looked under a hood before a few years ago, my girlfriend's '98 Accord alternator, then everything one at a time, got pretty decent, now I have an '02 Accord, done a few things, and the battery needs a charge, the other day in mi. We had an ice storm, everything in metro Detroit (especially my car) covered in ice. No start, so after a little jump box I finally get a jump from a truck with better Gage cables but it only started when I pressed the pedal, a sort of loud bang/puff happened I expected to see smoke but nothing, keept running, left it run almost an hour and ever since I try to start and it's dead battery, but if I press gas down starts and runs like perfect, been doing this for days now, imI pretty poor so i can't just replace stuff to see what happens, I gotta try to make calculated purcheses ya know? Anyway, thanks for reading this if I get no help I already have on other issues I've read from other people so thank you all, what a nice community
