NO BRAKES, NEED HELP!!!
Hello All,
I've seem to run into an issue here that I or my buddy can't seem to figure out.
I have had brake issues with my 96 Honda Prelude for a couple months now. I have done plenty of research on it and have tried to find the information I need through the forum search, and still haven't gotten down to the bottom of it.
Basically the brake pedal has the dreaded spongy feel and feels like they had no pressure at times. Before the car would still stop when brakes were applied, but also would skid and lock up if I pressed them all the way to the ground with force. I drove like that for awhile, filling the reservoir as it would go down. (Honestly might have forgot about it at times and took longer to fill up). But just last week the brakes finally completely gave out and once the pedal was applied, car would not stop!
As you can imagine, I freaked out and panicked to try and get the fix. I read up over different forums, post from pre 2010 and came to the general consensus that it probably was a faulty Master Cylinder. Picked up a reman one, had it replaced, and bled system out as well. (Just fronts). After replacement, brakes literally felt the best they have ever felt since I've on this car and it stopped on a dime.
Problem solved? Nah. So after the fix and bleeding of the brakes it took maybe 2 days for all the brake fluid to leak out and for the pedal to gradually turn into exactly how it was before. I would catch it before the reservoir went dry and added more fluid, but for the life of me I can't find where the fluid is leaking. I saw at times underneath the passenger side of the car what appeared to be brake fluid, but when going in and try to find a leak I can not spot anything on or by the ABS Module that appears to be leaking at all, or wheels or brakes on the passenger front side. I haven't checked the brake lines because after this last time I parked it, it still has the same fluid I put it in from this past Saturday and its not leaking out now... Im lost lol. No check engine, ABS light or anything like that.
Please help! This is my daily and I need this car back on the road!
Thank you!

The quick answer here is that you just need to find the leak and fix it. Get it up on a lift if you can, jack stands if you can't, bleed the brakes and pump the hell out of them until you see it. Check the brake calipers and the brake lines. There's only so many places the brake fluid runs to.
