Replacing entire AC system in 2008 Honda CRV. New compressor came with 2.6 oz. PAG oil in the compressor. What is the total system capacity for PAG oil in this system? Is it 7.9 oz. total capacity with the remaining distributed among the other components (evaporator, condenser, hoses)? The tag under the hood only provides the amount of R134a, it does not indicate that total system capacity for PAG oil on the tag or in the owner manual. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Has anyone done a complete system replacement of all components on 2008 CRV? I'm getting conflicting information. I have heard not to add any additional oil to the system and that the 2.6 ounces of oil in the compressor is sufficient when replacing all components and then have read other information that indicates to add oil to the other components as well in addition to what is in the compressor. Need help.
