Default Grinding noise after outer tie rod replacement

I have a 1993 Honda Accord that I recently had a mechanic friend replace the outer tie rods on both sides of the vehicle. The vehicle drives straight, the steering is fine however when I turn the tires all the way to either the right or left I hear a distinct metal on metal grinding noise. The vehicle did mot make this noise before the replacement of the tie rods. What would be the cause of this?

He may have accidentally bent the metal backing plate for the brakes. Try to bend it away from the rotor for both sides.
