When I bought my 92 Accord almost four months ago, it had a leaking rear main seal (still does - I'm not concerned about that right now). It has always leaked a little bit of oil, but today, after sitting in my garage for over 24 hours, I found a fresh oil leak on the floor. I know the leak could have happened while the engine was warm yesterday, but I don't see anything obvious at first glance. I do know that the valve cover gasket was replaced in December, but is it possible that it could have failed already?

 

where abouts under the car was it leaking

 

The leak looks to be coming from the front of the engine.

 

could be oilpan gasket

 

Could be coming from a # of places, oil filter not tighten properly, oil breather, main seal or heck even the dizzy seal leaking on tranny an running to bottom or could be other thing really would be helpful of oil spot location while car is parked

 

What I can see right now are two spots on the ground near the front center of the engine and oil on the bottom of the engine. I haven't investigated further but will be in the morning.

 

Hummm sounds like the oil pan gasket like the guy above said. When was last time you changed it? If you have already changed it, did u tighten bolts an few nutz down to spec?

 

As far as I'm concerned, it's never been changed. I'm going to get under it today and take a look. If that's what it is, I'll replace it and change the oil, since it's due next month anyway.
