Default 02 Accord Charging/Electrical Gremlin

I have a 2002 Accord 4cyl and I'm having intermittent charging/electrical issues. Symptoms are non-existent some of the time, others the first indication is the "battery", "brake" and all the door and trunk lights coming on the dash. If I keep driving long enough the gauges will drop to zero, the radio and blower motor will cut out, and eventually the car will die. The voltage across the battery without the dash lights freaking out is 14.2-14.4. When the dash lights are acting up the voltage drop to 12V or less. The issues seem random, I will drive all week without any issues. On the highway I will be driving with no issues and I will hit a rumble strip/pebble/bump and the issues will come in full force. Will go back to normal just as suddenly. I put in a new battery on monday and my terminal connection seem solid. Autozone said my alternator was fine when they checked it (no lights on my dash at that time). So I definitely need some help to get rid of these gremlins.

I've done my due diligence digging through the search tab and common known issues with no direction and that is why I'm resorting to a new thread. Any help would be much appreciated, I'm 100 miles away from home and had troubles getting here in the first place.

sounds like you need a new brand name alternator, avoid parts store alternators

We are reading constant 14.3+ volts from the alternator output. We have not gotten a test of it during the times we are having symptoms, however. That makes me think you're on to something. What would be a "name brand" alternator and where would I find one, if not an Oreilly's or similar store?

when you buy reman from rockauto, they will let you buy a cheap return label, simply print it out, drop it on the box when you put your old one in it and drop it off for return
