Default Has anybody ever used JB Weld?

I’ve got a small hairline crack in my tranny and was wondering if anyone has experience first hand with this problem and has used jb weld to patch it up. If so, how long has it lasted for you with proper bond and leak stoppage?

just to stop a leak that is not spreading? Yea sure worth a shot.

It's not the right way.

But once I had a mini motorcycle had a crack in the engine block casting, this fixed the leak - I think we used liquid steel or something though in that case.

Yeah of course it’s not right I know this, but I’m broke bro lol and this was unexpected. Auto shift cable came unbolted inside the trans and the wheel lift tow truck is the reason for my cracked tranny. Didn’t catch it for a couple days so when I called them to complain they just thought I was BSing them. I think if I get a good clean, abrasive surface on it, it’s should adhere nicely and give me some driving time on it to safe up for a recasing? Transmission is strong and fine otherwise, this is the only thing that is threatening its health..
