Tranny Problems
Alright guys, I have an automatic on my supercharged LS and something seems to keep slipping or mis-shifting in my transmission. I have taken my car in twice and the moron's cant seem to find any problems. I am well aware that I would see better gains of i swapped the tranny but i dont have time right now. Do you have any suggestions for what may be going on? Should I look in to a tranny cooler or any other methods of beefing up my auto? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Tranny Problems (auto-gs-king)
Honestly though, the automatic transmissions in the integras are really flakey like that... and I would guess even more so with the SC on there. They like to shift funny and slip WITHOUT any extra torque! I would just save your pennies for a M/T swap.

Re: Tranny Problems (auto-gs-king)
how many miles are on your tranny? are you running stock boost? you don't rev it up at a stop and throw it into gear do you? does it just shift weird when it's in d4. i have the 95 b18b1 auto in my 93 hatch and i have been running 8-9 lbs of intercooled turbo and i can't race it in d4. i have to shift through the gears and shift a lot earlier then redline. when i leave it in d4, it wraps out so fast and breaks traction till 3rd and since it revs so quick it smashes into the rev limiter and that is not good. i don't know...it dpends on how you drive it and how many miles are on your tranny. i am trying to bust my auto so i'll have an excuse to finally get the manual. so far, i am in the low 13 sec range and the tranny shows no sign of weakening but i am sure it will just break one of these days. i did put a tranny cooler the size of my stock half width radiator. i am sure that helps somewhat. from the sounds of your problem, your torque converter sounds like its crapping. if it shifts fine and with no weirdness(not revving it too hard) and there are no obvious grinds or no shift, then yeah...i will have to say torque converter. how long has it been doing this??? i assume it started after the jrsc, but how long did it take for you to start to notice?
