Default Should i buy a 1989 honda civic hatchback do $1000?

They are selling a civic from 89. The car has 270k miles but the guy said the new engine they put on there has around 150k miles. No evidence for that but the engine seems healthy and it has a solid manual 5speed transmission. It has a lot of cosmetic imperfeccións but thats fine. The car is old. I am a 17 year old and i wanna learn to drive manual in this car and fix up the things That it needs. What do you all think about this?

If it has a blue vin plaque that starts with JHMED, straight chassis, no rust, and clean title, then yes.
