2018 Honda Day
Well Honda Day is this weekend at MIR. Weather has been the talk of the land, but maybe will fight through it and support. We should all try and support the event. If its either Saturday or Sunday. The track will be prepped to the max by Jason Miller. This means cars can be set to kill. I will try and post videos and pictures from the event of different media at the event.
-Honda Day was bigger than I thought it was gonna be. Honda fans came out pretty deep filling the stands almost to World Cup levels. Saturday race I didn't attend but the announcer said they set a new attendance record for both days. Saturday there was snow on the ground with mid 40s air temp and they still got it in... Attendance was so good they stamped H-Day Fall in September.
-I don't keep up with all the names in the SFWD class. But its evident this class carries the import scene. They field was a lot bigger than I expected for this class. Making the competition ultra competitive. The cutoff was 8.42 just to qualify.
-One of the big name guys cracked a 7.99 in the semis FTL. He lit the red bulb on the pass giving the win to the other guy who ran a 8.2xx I believe...
-Index Racing was pretty cool all 3 classes looked pretty competitive.
-Highlight of the day for me was seeing the 2 AWD hatches make passes. Not sure of the owners name. But its a Blue EG hatch. He had a super clean launch was well on his way to a 9sec pass. But I never seen someone lean so hard on the brakes after the 1000ft mark. He ended up running an 11.00 at like 80mph LOL
-Other AWD was a EK hatch. Caged up and ready he ran a 9 sec pass and made it look easy. I see an AWD class in the future for Honda Day.
Cant wait till the next one.

Atco, NJ was allot better. 85% New Yorker or New Jersey people there. They were putting there speakers on top of there roof or next to there vehicle blasting there Latino music in the show event. There smoking hookah (amateurs) and another group was walking around with a hookah smoking weed. It's like a POT fest. I only stayed for couple of hours then left dude to the crowds.
I retired after 10 years from the race/show events and this one was the worst one I ever been to. I have shown/race all over even in Canada.
