Recently found a hole in the gas tank in my new (to me) 1995 Accord LX. It is located in the front-middle of the tank, closer to the bumper. The hole seems too circular to be from an accident, should there be some sort of plug or stopper there? I couldn't find any good pictures of the underside of an OEM Accord gas tank.
Pictures included below.
Thanks.
I suppose, unfortunately I am away at school right now, and don't have the time to. I was more wondering what the gas tank of other owners looked like.
I punched a hole in the gas tank of my Jeep once and patched it with some of the compounds you can buy at the auto parts houses. It worked well until I hit it a second time.
That patch, paint and shape does not appear to be your gas tank. Looks more like the floor panel.
Can you take a wider shot of the area and repost?
I wish I could, but I'm away at school right now, and don't have the car with me.
But it's interesting that it doesn't look like the gas tank, I guess I just made an assumption. The hole is pretty close to the rear bumper, I'd say by about 10in (if I'm remembering correctly).
