Default 2002 Civic EX Coupe Trunk Leak

I have a leak in the trunk I can't find on the drivers side in back of the wheel well in the trunk. We had some rain last night and the channel below the vent is where it pools. Also looks like there is wetness around the air vent flap. Can anyone explain to me how water is coming in from this vent flap if that's where it's coming in when the vent is behind the bumper and the car was not driven and sat overnight.

Start simple: Check the drain tube for the sunroof. It's right next to the vent.

See this other thread regarding water leaks into the trunk from a body seam:

That was my original thought. Yes I saw the tube last week and it appears to still be connected. I can see the drain holes for the front tubes in the sunroof but can't see the rear.

Thanks. It appears that those places have been sealed before and it would make perfect sense if the car was in motion kicking up water. But just sitting in the driveway overnight?

Body seams were going to by my followup.

@OP
I had two bad seams. One under the trunk lid seal, and one in the wheel well.

The one under the lid seal was on the bottom left corner, just to the right of the drivers taillight. Pulled the seal up, applied sealant and pinched it together with vice grips overnight. Replaced the seal and haven't had an issue since. (it's been years, now)

The second one was on the passenger side and a bit more involved, as quite a bit of ultra-fine grit had found its way thru a pinhole and into that little valley along the quarter panel, inside the trunk. Cleaned it and sealed it (PITA!!!!) from both sides. Haven't had any issues since.

Happy hunting.

The leak under the trunk lid seal would allow my spare tire well to fill with water, while sitting in the driveway. It also pooled under that vent.

OK thanks. I'll check the trunk lid seal by the drivers taillight.
