I am the proud owner of a 1999 Civic LX AUTO(lol) and I love every mile that the car has given to me since 2011 when I fist bought the car.

This is my second Honda as I owned a lowered, lip kitted, 5 speed, Motegi-wheeled, F22'd V-Tec powered fun heavy A$$ Accord.

A little History on the car, it was our families car, and as our family grew, the need for a larger car gre as well, so I bought my wife the reliable as hell Toyota Sienna. In return, the Civic was all mine - MUHAHAHAHAHA.
Anyway, since it is the D16y7, I want to mod for looks but have a punny license plate like "MPGB4SDP" or "MPG=MLG" something line that.. Puns welcome, help me out!
Yesterday, I got the deal of the century and found 99 Civic Si alloy wheels with BRAND NEW, still have the nubby thingys, tire/rim set for $300. Then I turned around and sold my Steelies and fairly decent tires for $100, so I made out like a bandit.

I then de-yellow/hazed my headlights by hitting them with 400, 600, 1000, and then 2000 grit sandpaper, clear-coating, and then using old school turtle wax and my elbow power to make the lights look new as hell.

Also, I purchased a $30 short ram intake on Ebay and it had a chrome tube, I sanded with 600 grit paper, then 1000, used 5 coats of high temp primer, 1000 grit sanding between, and then 5 coats of high temp matte black paint, and I think it turned out ok. photos below as well.
Then, also threw a strut tower bar on, which surprisingly, does not touch the intake pipe, despite how it has to bend for a D16y7

In the mail, on the way here are 3" lowering springs and a Mugen style grille, as I hate the LX "lets chrome the border of the grille, it'll be fancy" look.
After that, My catalytic converter is bad as I was throwing P0420, replaced both O2 sensors and now am getting P0141, so thats like bank 1 sensor or wiring or some other ish. So I will be replaing the LX exhaust manifold/cat with the EX style performance header, hi-flo cat, O2 sensor extender adapter, and cat back exhaust.

After that, I will get all the dings out of the paint, have the roof re-cleared, or paint the entire car black or white, and make a mad MPG machine. I want people to be like "man I bet that's fast" and I would be like "nope, 40+ MPG, thats the new cool."

I hope to meet a lot of Honda owners and make a few friends along the way.
