Default 95 civic manual trans issues

Hello ht so like the title says. I have a 95 civic with a d15b motor, a few days ago i was waiting to back out of my driveway when there was a thunk noise. I was in gear with clutch pressed all the way in. I out the car in neutral and tried reverse again. The trans grinded like the clutch was not pressed all the way. I got it into reverse and drove to work, after the thunk noise it is very hard to shift gears while motor is running. If the motor os off it will go into any gear no problem. I relpaced the master and slave cylinder today as well as put a new clutch in as well. It is still having the same issue. Also there is alot of free play in the clutch pedal after the thunk noise. Any ideas?

Sounds like the clutch fork is cracked/broken.

It is external. It clips onto a bolt on the clutch side of the transmission. Remove it, clean it, check it for cracks.
