how do i tune 98 base prelude
A 200K mile engine isn't going to like "fast as heck" very much. Neither is the trans. Maybe you should buy a JDM engine and trans, rebuild them with some high performance parts, and drop them in after you upgrade your brakes and suspension. To go "fast as heck" safely will cost $$$. Maybe $10K. Trying to get more power out of your existing drivetrain will likely kill it in short order. If you just do regular maintenance, change the oil, put in new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, PCV valve, etc, plus clean the throttle body, do a full Sea-Foam treatment, change your trans fluid, solve any CEL issues, you will likely be surprised how well it will perform without mods.
I know 200xxx is Alot and I planned on getting a h22a I've done all those things u said I already have header back exhaust tein advance super street suspensionand drilled slotted brakes new wires plugs distributor just did oil change trans fluid change. I just bought the car 3 weeks ago. And did all of that. And it's not gonna be 10k to do what I want. I just rebuilt an 02 rsx type s from the ground up completely rebuilt k20a2 got it tuned on Kpro and put tein electronic damper control with tein coilovers all for 3k

I found this over at PreludeOnline.Com:
1. It is the obd1 gsr ecu that is compatible with the hondata s100 and s300 systems. That is the one you would need to buy for the prelude 97-01.
2. you will need a obd2a to obd1 harness (correct me if i'm wrong) to get the obd1 to fit your prelude.
3. You do not want to put in the gsr ecu unless you are going with a hondata system, because it is costly and dangerous without a tune.
4. You will, unfortunately, lose atts when you switch the ecu.

Stock car doenst need a tune. First build your engine and then start thinking tune.
Anyway you need OBD1 swap there (harness+ecu) - then it depends how youre going to build your engine that do you need proper engine management like Hondata or just chipped ecu
If youre going to build your engine all over again dont bother to get swap engine if youre going to new everything anyway - waste of money (unless your blocks cylinder walls are beyond saving)
SH's transmission's electrical differential which disables itself and become just dead weight if you change the ecu there
So basicly you cannot tune SH

Ok I do plan on rebuilding motor do you have a certain brand u would recommend me using for like the pistons and bearings and all? Thanks for all your help! I'm glad I got the base model I was choosing between the base and sh model.
First you need to get your block checked by some machine shop - if you need to hone cylinder walls you might need oversize pistons so dont do that mistake that you buy pistons blindly.
Many people (like me) are using Type S pistons (Uyuni Sales | eBay Stores) and for bearings OEM or ACL etc (see what your machine shop says)
If you sleeve your block you have more options but its of course also more expensive but with stock block your choices are ONLY: JDM Type S or Mahle gold pistons
Do some kind of plan what parts youre going to need (cams/intake manifold/custom exhaust?) - what power goals you have and so on
