Hi CR-V people. I’m trying to remove my lock actuator on my 1999 CR-V and can’t figure out how to remove the outside door handle rod. It’s the one on the left side of the picture. I’ve tried turning the washer and can’t seem to get it to move. Please help! thanks Eric

That rod should be part of the replacement and doesn’t normally need to be removed. You have to remove the joint at the top of the rod (#16 in this parts diagram.).

I ended up just pulling the door handle with it because I couldn’t figure out how to get that off. My Haynes manual said to remove it at #16 also but I didn’t know how. Do you know the trick?
