Where is the fuel pump relay or fuel pump fuse?
So I have a 2009 honda civic hybrid. I currently have the car at a mechanic shop. Told me I needed a fuel pump and after it was replace still having the same problem shutting off. So they are looking for the fuel pump relay or fuse but they can't find it. They checked under the hood and under the steering wheel but nothing. Anyone have an idea where it could be?
Sounds like they may just be throwing parts at the issue. Doesn't the shop have access or subscribe to professional repair info. like service manuals, electrical troubleshooting manuals, etc.?
Testing and diagnosis should be done on the circuit; not just replacing parts.
Anyways, there is a PGM-FI Main Relay 1 and a PGM-FI Main Relay 2.
PGM-FI Main Relay 1 is FI Main (which is located in the under-hood fuse/relay box)
PGM-FI Main Relay 2 is the fuel pump relay (which is located in the auxiliary under-hood fuse/relay box)
PGM-FI Main Relay 2 works in conjunction with PGM-FI Main Relay 1. PGM-FI Main Relay 2 relies on a functioning PGM-FI Main Relay 1 in order to supply power to the fuel pump.
Relay controls (ground) to the respective two relays is from the PCM. Under-hood Fuse No. 19 and under-dash Fuse No. 2 are part of the circuit for the fuel pump relay.

if you think it's fuel then hook up a fuel pressure tester kit to the fuel rail and see if fuel pressure is dropping off when it dies
harbor freight has a kit that fits older cars, I haven't used it on the 8th gen yet
