I was wondering what can be stripped out a 90 CRX DX. I have a all out Drag Street Car, help me strip it out. List what you have done or link me to a topic like this.
Sound Deadening under Carpet
Sound Deadening spare tire
Remove Rear Interior
Heater Core
AC
Motor Blower
Bumper Supports
NO Radio
No Speakers
anything else?

**** the crx has 3 times the sound deadening material then the hatchback. I stripped my hatchback out completely. You need door panels though to compete at the race track right?
I got lots of carbon Fiber laying around at my house 3x3.5 sheet and a carbon fiber dashboard for a 92-95 Civic Time to start inventing things.

jOO can get all this out:

The only reason the dash and door glass is still in is SCCA IT rules. I can't say for drag racing, but many drag CRXs seem to have cut metal too.

Well, I have a full interior in my car, but you could easily remove the center console, glove box, and plastic surrounding the shifter and e-brake handle. You could also ditch the front carpet and passenger seat. Finally, you could ditch the climate control panel and ventilation ducting since you will have no climate control. Move the battery to the back (in a battery box if you like your life) and use a garden tractor battery instead of the stock one.
As far as the bumper supports go, that mod is blatently unsafe. Those metal bars are there to protect you from a crash. I would imagine that removing them significantly reduces your chances of walking away from an accident.
