Default Do all non-vtec b-series heads use the same valve cover gasket?

I have a b18a1 with a P8R-11 head, so I ordered the part number for a 1990 integra LS valve cover gasket..

I had to buy a napa valve cover gasket (made by felpro), because I was unable to find an oem one anywhere.

It came with the spark plug hole seals also.

But a day after installing, I noticed oil all over the front of the motor - coming from the newly installed valve cover gasket!

So I'm wondering if maybe I should have gotten a 1996-1998 crv valve cover gasket instead - although I thought b20 and b18a/ b18b all had the same valve cover.

I noticed that there were some little rubber tabs at 8 places around the gasket... maybe that's why?

Today I thought about it and perhaps it thinned too much or too easily when I installed it, because I haven't replaced the hard rubber grommets (total of 7) that hold the valve cover on?

Maybe they were too thin and bottomed out before getting enough pressure on the gasket?

I went ahead and put some extra washers on top of them today - just to check - and to hold me over until I can order some new grommets.

If anyone has a line on an oem valve cover gasket for a P8R head, please let me know!

Today I checked to make sure the gasket had gone on smoothly (it had), so I was kind of stumped.
