Throttle Body Vacuum Leak
2000 Honda Accord EX Sedan
4 cylinder vtec (F23A1)
After a couple months of hunting down a vacuum leak that is completely inconsistent and frustrating as hell, the use of a smoke machine helped me realize that when the throttle is closed it's leaking vacuum where the throttle cables mount on the throttle body (Where the butterfly valve and throttle cable holder pass through the body). It's not a terrible leak, but it's enough to make the idle fluctuate and vibrate at times, and it drives me mad.
My question is this, is there a way to reseal where it's leaking, and if not, does anyone have any advice on buying an aftermarket throttle body? The OEM ones are EXPENSIVE.
