Default Cam shaft upgrade

Hi from Australia

My timing belt is due for replacement. While im there, I want to look at doing cams upgrades. What would be a reasonable upgrade for my 2000-2001 ITR? Being a late model ITR, apparently I have the Civic Type R cam (bigger) which makes finding a cam worth the upgrade, difficult.

Car gets driven on weekends mostly but it needs to be street able so nothing too aggressive.. Would like some more mid-top range.

Skunk2 tuner serier stage 2 - stock idle like non-vtec lobes, good for 200-220whp with supporting bolt ons, requires titanium valve retainers and dual valve springs (i would recommend supertech) also a tune.

Would I be able to raise RPM with those springs? Are cam gears needed? What about injectors? and is my CR enough (11:1) ?

I'd vote for Toda Spec B's with gears, retainers and valve springs. I'd stick with Toda all the way for the accessory parts but Supertech is fine for springs, retainers, valves and guides. They offer great mid-range and would work well at 11.1:1 c/r. Definitely upgrade your injectors if they are still the stock ones. 310's or 440's will work fine. Cam gears allow for further fine tuning and it is recommended that you match cams to their respected gears from the same brand. Yes, you can raise the RPM limit with valve springs but you'd want to know where the cams stop making power and cut it off near that point.

That's my $0.02. Good luck!

I'd go with a Buddy club spec 3 . Not as aggressive as a Toda B ( which you don't have the compression for)
