Ok as I've mentioned the vehicle is a 1999 honda accord lx roughly 180k just bought it and needed an ign. Switch after multiple a cpl.switches I finally took the old one and cleaned all connections and put it back together. . Car was getting all lights and dings after that but was hard starting unless pedaling it while cranking would start run really rough and even with my foot on the pedal would die out car wasn't throwing codes and fuel pump was working cel light would come on for 2 sec and go out kept doing this a few times with same result not sure what it is but from everything I've read about this car it's a Lot of sensors and electrical aLot different then my integ when I first replaced switch green immobilizer light goes on and would justcrank after hard crank then rough rough idle nd dies anyone have any insight .. ok soo I just ordered a new dizzy thinking it was ignitor.... any feedback is appreciated this thing is driving me crazy
Ok soo now i am completely lost redid the timeing on the car and car started and was idling smooth and running good after a lil bit of time of it running it started to sputter and shut off now it's back like it was yesterday not staying running for anything I started it and u can smell it's running rich
When it first started bogging again i held the gas at likr 4krpms.. nd noticed this on ground behind exhaust pipe No check engine codes ... then it started acting up earlier threw a cel.. but i tried jumping brown and black wire with paper clip and it just stays solid Car was retimed at tdc and started nice and smooth no sputter or missfire in anyway until it ran for about 10 min at idle even hitting gas was smooth ... now its back to the sputter and rpms gauge just jumps up and down and wont stay running even with my foit on gas pedal ??
I'll try it tomorrow but the problem is ever since it ran good for that little bit of time cel light came on and it started sputtering died tried getting code it through but that's the picture of no cel and I can't get it to stay running to get it to warm up sprayed lil bit of starter fluid in t.b nd inside of t.b had carbon wondering if cat is clogged up & not getting back pressure or the egr valve is all gunked up ill keep u guys updated any input is helpful I appreciate it
