2000 Honda CRV no start.
2000 Honda CRV...Got it from my brother I twas his daughters. She was driving, got to the top of an exit ramp and it died and would not start again.
Put new fuel pump and a new starter in. Tested the battery under load and it tested fine.
I crank it and it sounds like it wants to but won't. I have been dabbling with this for a few months (col in Chicago). Decent day today so i decided to check it again.
I did find a ground wire only attached to the body the other end was off...I just don't know where it is off from. I did not take this ground wire in my trials so far so not sure hot it came off or where it attaches.
IT is on the Drivers side, attached to the front cross member. It doesn't reach to the starter so not that. I can't seem to find even a screw hole where is might come from.
Any ideas would be AWESOME>

It attaches to the front drivers side corner of the valve cover.

You have fuel, do you have spark?
Have you confirmed the mechanical timing isn't off a tooth or more? Could've jumped a tooth.
Valve lash good?
If everything checks out there I'd do a leakdown test.

I appreciate your help!!!!! Thank you!
OK reconnected the Ground and it still no crank.
I can't check spark because it does not crank enough
I have gas and fuel pump kicks in but again it will not crank long enough to tell.
I can't access the main pulley from the top to manually see if it will crank. Do I do it from the bottom? Take off Tire? Any tips would be great.
Thanks for taking the time!
