So i just finished boosting my B18b1 on 10psi, Having a weird problem, First startup Became a very weird noise. I warmed it up made sure everything was good and warm, Hit 2step and noticed a Medium sounding Metal on metal coming from the turbo and Also Sparks, Note this is downpipe connectd to full exhaust. Now i took off the downpipe to inspect and didnt notice anything unusual. So i hit 2step without the Downpipe and the noise has Gone away.

 

 

Sparks to me would indicate some sort of contact between moving parts.or an uneven fuel mixture. Was there a gasket between the turbo and downpipe?

 

Loose Cartidge Housing Bolts?
