1998 accord squeals while driving
Hello all, i have a 98 coupe 4 cylinder 5 speed MT. Ive noticed just today that when i hit first gear i start to get a somewhat quite constant squeak while in gear. as soon as i drop to neutral it stops, i rev it and nothing happens. It seems only when im in gear and moving. It sounds like a pulley, but my belt is tight and the pulleys all seem solid. I know shes old but does anyone have any idea? thank you
If the squeal is predictable enough, open hood and use WD40 on the belts.
Go for normal drive.
If the squeal is still there, most likely not the belts.
WD40 is a solvent, not a lubricant, it will not harm the belts.
